not able to ballon pipe segments on a pipe spool drawing

Hi All

we need some help here we have just gone down the RSD/Pro/Piping implementation. and have come across a big issue to us and that is when we create a pipe spool drawing (see attached)

we place a BOM Table on the drawing, when we try to create balloons we cannot add balloons for the pipe segments this is an issue for manufacuring.

(PTC tell us this is the intended function of the software and that this issue have been around for about 10 years. and they want us to put an enhancement in, my thoughts if this has been a problem for 10 years how long will the enhancement take?????)

Questions

1. is there any way of getting this information on the drawing automatically

2. what are all the other companies that use Pro-Piping do to feed this info to fabricators

many thanks

David

I would try making the description field unique for each different spool. That's what works for us.
