trail file of pro/e

hi, guys

here is my problem.

I want to connect pro/e with modefrontier by using trail file. So I first define some parameters in pro/e. However, in the trail file, there shows no parameter name just some numbers.

Does anyone know how to modify trail file, in order to define parameters?

There are some tweak settings in config.pro to change the default behavior of both reading and writing trail files. I think by default it just picks screen locations. I have very little luck with running trail files.

Hi,

my suggestion is to add the following option into config.pro file

new_parameter_ui no

Restart Creo/ProE and you will get old user interface for managing parameters. Try to create a parameter and look into trail file. Maybe you will see reauested parameter name.

modeFRONTIER has an integration with PTC Creo.

It doesn't look like trail files are a good method for linking modeFRONTIER to Creo.

I know this method. I'm not sure if this method could export geo model and connect icem.

Then I would like to import the mesh file into fluent. That is to say, I need to connect modefrontier with pro/e, icem and fluent.

Can this method work what I mention?

The PTC group has little experience with modeFRONTIER. Yours are the only questions about it on PTC Community.

You could contact Esteco for support or hire a consultant with experience to show you.
