WEBCAST Q&A

Question from Anand:  Is it possible to check the failure location while creating mesh?

Answer:  The high stresses are a result of the mesh.  When running once with a mesh density, you would change the mesh density (like Lino is doing now) in the are of high stress.

WEBCAST Q&A

Question from Brian:  Is there a way to check the quality of the mesh?

Answer:  Mesh size and aspect ratio is defined by the user.  The mesh will be created within those bounds.

Question from Brian:  Can linearized stress be calculated in post-processing?

Answer:  Not at this time.

WEBCAST Q&A

Question from Rajesh:  Can we change mesh size as desired?

Answer:  Yes, the mesh can be modified locally and/or globally.

WEBCAST Q&A

Question from Tim:  Can you use a temperature-dependent materials and thermal loads in the structural solver?

Answer:  The material properties are constant and do not change with temperature.  Creo Advanced Simulation can use Thermal loads in the Structural solver (MechT).  Not Creo Ansys just yet.
