Launch creo parametric at a specific location on the screen

Hi,

is possible launch creo parametric at a specific location on the screen?

I use windows_scale 0.5 and the window moves to the top left.

I would like to open more at the top right, down left & down right.

Not specific to PTC, but many desktop managers can do this.  NVIDIA has nView Desktop Manager for example.

Restore last session, may do that for you as far I know, but from start you have probably to code.

I use many files config.pro and file_start.ink

How do I save last sessions for use?

Check that you have the config.pro option last_session_retrieval set to Yes

There is also an option where this is stored, for this check  "last_session_directory_path"

Yes I did it and it created the folder in the directory_path, but then I can't start the last session.

You need to pick this, 

Optional you can start with a trail file, and add 

~ Sync PERM_CHECKER_DLG
~ Command `ProCmdOpenLastSession`

This will retrieve the models as well, how to avoid this, I don't know.

I would run a mapkey in the trail file, this is more save!

And after load erase all models 🙂

I guess your config.pro contains following option

LAST_SESSION_RETRIEVAL no

I tried adding LAST_SESSION_RETRIEVAL yes but it doesn't change anything.

Hi,

did you check all config.pro files loaded during Creo startup? In which directories did you search for config.pro?

If you use config.sup then you have to check its contents, too.

I did it.

To activate the last session icon I have to open at least one file or create a new one, save it and close the CAD.
Next time I start CAD I can recover the last session.

Hi.

I tested Creo 9.0.2.0:

• start session
• change window size ... information is save somewhere
• change window position ... information is save somewhere
• end session

When I started next session, window size & position was restored.
