Hello,
You mentioned that you referred to the KepServer manual for DCOM configuration. Please note that the manual has been updated to include the latest hardening settings. I’m also attaching a related article for more detailed guidance.
If the issue persists after applying these settings, we recommend using a third-party tool such as OPC Rescue to help narrow down the root cause. Thanks
Hello,
Although you are able to browse the tags, DCOM may still be causing issues. To verify this, I recommend directly adding the target DA server in OPC Quick Client.
Please note that OPC Quick Client uses the logged-in user's credentials, whereas KEPServerEX runs as a service and uses the system account credentials. Windows security may block access unless application-level permissions are explicitly granted to the connecting client.
If the Quick Client connects successfully, it strongly suggests that a DCOM configuration issue still exists.
As a troubleshooting step, you may consider temporarily opening DCOM permissions to the fullest extent to test connectivity. This should only be done in a controlled environment and not in production, unless reviewed by qualified security personnel or a system administrator.
Please take a look at the following article for recommendations:
