Mathcad License Host ID Conflict (Error -9) - Invalid License File and Key

Dear PTC Support,

I am a student at the Linzer Technikum (HTL Linz, Austria), using a full educational license provided by the school.

I am unable to activate Mathcad Prime when I use my personal laptop outside the school environment (on a different home network/internet connection).

The license activation fails with the error: "(-9) Invalid host." (License status "Ungültig" / Invalid).

Steps taken and results:
Using the License File: The license file (...sw_license_email_738123.dat) fails because it appears to be tied to a specific network/host ID present only at the school.

Using the License Key: I have attempted activation using my assigned license key, but it resulted in the same error. I can provide the key privately. This also results in the same "Invalid host" error and the key then becomes invalid (or tied to the incorrect Host ID).

Key Issue:
This is happening on the exact same laptop. The issue is solely dependent on the change in the network connection. My classmates, who followed the same procedure, do not have this problem.

My Laptop's Current Host ID (shown in Mathcad Options): 52-BF-2D-A2-87-B6

Please assist me in finding a way to re-host or reconfigure this license so it works on my laptop regardless of the network environment.

Thank you for your prompt assistance.

This forum is NOT the support department of PTC.

Your post ended up on PTC's users forum, and us users cannot help you with licensing. That you ended up here is not your fault, but appears to be PTC policy, possibly to prevent them from helping their customers in the first place.
