Hello All,
It's just me with one thing after another. And now my trial version of 10.00 don't work.
I get an error message its attached.
It's about a file edidebug.dll which is not seen as friendly by Wins 11 smart Protection!
PTC and MS got conflicts!
So, anyone who knows about this please enlighten me before I start believing in conspiracies and paranoia, Thanks.
Regards,
Karl.
Hi Karl
I searched the install directory of my Prime software.
I searched the C:\ drive of my computer
No edidebug.dll file is in my computer.
So I suggest two things:
Use Windows explorer on your install drive (mine is C:\) to check where edidebug.dll is stored. This could give you insight. If it is the Prime install directory it does not need to be there.
Use some anti-virus software and do a scan of the install drive.
Cheers
Terry
Here is an example of where this file is located: C:\Program Files\PTC\Mathcad Prime 7.0.0.0\efidebug.dll
I will follow thru on that.
Hello all and Vladimir,
I did a search for that file, and it is in the PTC 10.0 folder.
It is type: Application extension.
So, if it's a virus or something nuisance let me know if I have to delete it.
I next clicked on the Mathcad icon.
It opened the program.
Its past 30 days trial so must be why in Option the license is failed.
This was PTC verifying the license at this time of use.
I can work with this existing program which is the called the Prime Express (free).
Limited functions, but those I don't need.
I am not doing advanced math at this time.
A few days ago, I got an MS update on those required files MS files ..... 4.0 and 3.5.
That did not fix the problem.
But now it's working.
Kind Regards,
Karl Bogha.
Sorry all,
That file name is efidebug.dll
May been something un-invited that got in there😎.
Thanks for highlighting👍.
Regards,
Karl.
