Are you a poet, and don't even know it?

My collegaue Bettina Giemsa has a post over on her blog, Hello CAD. If you get a moment, check it out. It's excerpted below. Don't let the title fool you. This post is about Mathcad, and a little fun Friday activity: rhyming. Take a look...

"No more cells, Mathcad clearly tells"

This rhyme was just added to the Mathcad page on Facebook today and I like it a lotMathcad_Rhymes.png

a) because it is a rhyme and thus shows the creativity of our users

b) because it really highlights one of the core benefits of using Mathcad – its ease of use and advantage over spreadsheets.

We had just recently started this Mathcad page on Facebook and I really enjoy seeing it grow and seeing the users interact with us in a rather informal way.

The inspiration for this rhyming game came through someone else’s message on Twitter “… Mathcad Prime is worth your time”. This makes a marketer’s heart jump for joy, for sure!

I've started the game, what a shame!!!!!!

There is a poem (with comments) about Mathcad in Russian poetic portal:

http://www.stihi.ru/comments.html?2010/09/08/843

"Если выучишь Mathcad -

Будешь счастлив и богат.

А добавишь к нему Prime -

попадешь ты сразу в рай!"

Valery, can you translate for us?

Russian to English translation

"If you learn Mathcad -

You'll be happy and rich.

And add to it the Prime -

you will enter directly into heaven! "
Google translation.

More correct:

...you will enter directly into paradise! "

More correct = Better translation

Sounds nicer that way.

Have a laugh with a Mathcad graph.

Mathcad is Fab compared to Matlab.

Create that array the Mathcad way.

For writing a mathematical sheet

Mathcad Prime cannot be beat.

I put it all down

without a frown

And it all looks incredibly neat

Math-cad, it is my best mate

When I want to integrate. ... (goes well as a Jody call )

Stuart

I did have a go at Zen Mathcad once ...

Ah, Grasshopper!

The monk Sinu asked the master Tanu "what is the true way?"
The master replied "If you call it 8 you oppose the fact, If you call it 11 you deny its reality."
Sinu asked again "will I find the truth?"
The master replied "As enlightenment approaches, the truth changes"

Mumon's Commentary.

The master had wise words for the student
8 was revered by the masters

11 claimed eternity for itself

But 12 showed the cycle of mysteries was unbroken

(plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose - who'd a thunk it, substitute 15 for 8 and Prime for 11 ... suggestions for 12?)
