Constant must be 3 element vector

In the last two or three weeks, when I multiply by a constant I receive an error message saying the constant must be a 3 element vector.

Example: d = D - 2 x t
d - ID
D - OD
t - wall thickness
error message states that 2 must be a 3 element vector
I have had to abandon my last three Mathcad calcs because of this error.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

What version of Mathcad are you using? Can you post a short worksheet that shows the problem (this will both help a reviewer spot any problem and check whether it can be replicated (thus pointing to either your installation or a generic Mathcad problem)?

The operator you are using is the cross product operator, which only works with 3-element vectors. Use the dot product, which you get by typing "*".

You need to use "Multiplication * " instead of "Cross Product Ctrl+8":

Thanks to all who responded. I should have known better.

No problem.

Hello,

Please attach your Mathcad worksheet to the message (by using "Use advanced editor").
