Yes, you can solve this kind of system using minimize. Look it up in the help. I can't figure out enough of the meaning of your sheet to work out what you need -- you say to minimize a, but a is defined as a value, dependent on Mn.
Your diagram did not make it through (and is the cause of the complaints by others about your sheet). Embed pictures as pictures (directly supported by Mathcad), not as OLE objects.
