Get Extremes

Is there a way to modify the "Get_Extremes" function that Richard kindly shared so it will work with both sets of data.

I tried using Ksmooth as Jean has recommended many times before, but it doesn't work for both data sets.

The solution to noise is not smoothing. That distorts the data, and you are finding the extrema of the distorted data. Here's a more robust algorithm.
