How can minerr() follow constraints to select parameters?

Hi:

I try to use minerr() to decide parameter x1,x2,a2 with a minimum error.

Based on the result, the error was reduced from 3.391 to 3.373 (not that significant)

The problem to me is that minerr() didn't follow constraints to select parameter x1,x2,a2 when I look at the datalog (minerr log.txt)

What should I do to let minerr() follow rules of changing x1,x2,a2?

How about a brute force approach?

Hi:

I think it's a good idea and I will try it.

Does it mean that minerr() cannot be forced to follow constraints and select parameters?

Think me and especially Richard have explained that quite some times to you that thoise constrained are not hard ones, they are simply taken in account when calculating the ERR. Richard also had shown how to weight those constraint if some are especially important to you. If Minerr does not find a good fit with highly weighted constrained that could mean there is no suitable solution.
