Hello,

I did before in Windows 7 64 bits but today now i can't install mathcad in windows 7 64 bits, it displays this 16 error on ocx files during the installation..

I have always a network licence that is working.

I have this error

I found this article Installing Mathcad 14.0 M020 with Add-On Collection on 64-bit Windows 7 but it is for M020 and i have 14.0.3.0

I think we must understand why i have this 10 errors installations , i think the problem came from HERE..

Under XP it would be impossible if you were the administrator, but it's not impossible under Windows 7 (or later). When you install, try right clicking on the installer, and selecting "Run as administrator". That should give you full administrator privileges (but that will still not get you around the Data Execution Prevention if you have not disabled it).

OK. try this. Open a command prompt (go to All Programs, Accessories, right click on Command Prompt, Run as Administrator) and change folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad\Mathcad 14. Type regsvr32 -u glr.dll. Does this unregister the DLL? (If it does, you should type regsvr32 glr.dll to register is again).

Yes of course.

I don't have support.

What they asked me : it is not supported W7 with mathcad 14 ..

I answered, so why it is working in 3 pc in w7 64 bits today. And impossible to install in 2 different PC today..

Then sorry, but I don't know why the installer cannot unregister it. You obviously have the necessary permissions to do so. I don't know what else to suggest at this point.

I doubt they could. I get the impression that their support personnel more-or-less have a list of solutions, and if it's not on the list they give up. If their list says "Mathcad 14 is not supported under Windows 7", that's likely to be the only answer you will get.

You could install it in Windows XP mode, but that is not an ideal solution.

How about installing Mathcad 14 on a virtual machine? To transfer the license on virtual OS you may use the option "Reconfigure Software Licenses" on PTC's site: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/lm/rsl/reconfig.jsp

I think the question remains why it doesn't install on other PCs, not why it installed OK on your PC, because I would expect it to install. Even if it doesn't run correctly, I would expect it to install OK. So what's different about the PCs? When you say "my PC" do you mean your home PC? Win 7 Home edition or Win 7 Professional? Are the other PCs work PCs? Which edition of Win 7? Are they fresh from the box, or have they passed through the hands of some IT person before you tried to install Mathcad?

Since it installs on one PC and not on the others I still think it's not really a Mathcad problem. Something in Windows is preventing the installer from registering or unregistering the DLL (and I think also preventing it from doing other things). I don't know what that is though. You may be better off asking this question on a forum like Bleeping Computer (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/)
