For those interested, MC 15 will run fine on a Win8.1 computer.

To test this I downloaded the free 30-day MC 15 trial.

Some people have troubles with 3D plot, though.

Thats exactly what people (e.g. Valery) had reported to fail. (The creation is not the problem, it simply won't show anything).

Its a very old problem that 3D plots don't show up in MV14 and MC15 when rund under WIN7/8 and this also applies for he examples in the quickshets. For Win7 there are a number of workarounds like turning off the border around the plot, reducing color depth or disabling Win graphics acceleration. From peoles reports it seems that those tewaks don't help in Win8/8.1. At least for some people.
