An interesting analogy.

Many visitors to this forum believe that Mathcad Prime - is a step back. See http://communities.ptc.com/message/172634

But Tablets over notebooks (laptops) - it is also a step back. Many Tablets are inferior in features notebooks.

Nevertheless, we believe tablets are computers 21st century, and notebooks are computers this past century.

Tablets will soon catch up and overtake notebooks. Mathcad Prime too soon overtake traditional Mathcad.

Possible, even very likely. And only when this happens the product should be called and be marketed as Prime 1.0.

As I always stated, we now have Prime 0.1, 0.2,.... (and some may be tended to add, beta).

In your comparison you forgot one point: Tablets are lightweighted on purpose.

No, Prime is taken up as the successor of Mathcad. At least it was promised that P3 would be full fledged. that is MC15 and more. Thats obviously not the case.
