I recently wanted to interrupt a bullet list in MP2. The problems are two-fold: we can't embed math in text and the bullet list likes to start anew when interrupted, and can't be indented.
I worked around this by using a Text Box rather than a Text Block. I simply aligned the Text Boxes indented and marked the lines as bullet items. This gives the appearance of a continual bullet list at each indent level, even when interrupted by math. In addition, the Text Box can also be indented from the right, setting the indented text off more emphatically from the preceding bullet level.
This same technique of using Text Boxes can be applied to numbered lists, with the unfortunate requirement that the numbers be manually managed.
