Does anyone remember the list of mathematical constants that were posted on the Mathcad website? Can anyone please tell me how I can locate that list? There were some pretty interesting constants like how many cars could park on the side of the street, and so on.
Solved! Go to Solution.
The author of those pages on Mathsoft's site, Steven Finch, has written a book about "Mathematical Constants".
Its published by Cambridge University Press http://www.cambridge.org/us/academic/subjects/mathematics/recreational-mathematics/mathematical-constants
The successor of that old Mathsoft site of Mr Finch is here (while smaller than it used to be): http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~sfinch/
Here is the archive of the old site - in my memory it used to be more extensive but maybe I am wrong about that: https://web.archive.org/web/20071211085821/http://www.mathcad.com/library/constants/index.htm

Search the net for Rényi's Parking Constant. E.g. http://mathworld.wolfram.com/RenyisParkingConstants.html
or here the original entry of the old mathsoft site https://web.archive.org/web/20070625122627/http://www.mathcad.com/library/Constants/renyi.htm
You can find fundamental constants by following in main program menu: "Help" -> "Reference Tables".

Thanks, Werner,
Those links and references are exactly what I was looking for!
