A problem.
I threw the ball (mass and diameter are known) from a height h.
I measured (using a stopwatch) time from throwing up the ball to the moment when I heard the sound of the ball falling to the ground. What is the ratio k - see about this ratio here http://communities.ptc.com/message/187832
Note!
Nobody was hurt on the ground at the time of this and this experiment!
I take it the initial velocity is also known.

V0=0m/s
Ok Valery, seems straightforward enough - see attached - or have you something trickier in mind?
I invented arbitrary data in order to give a numerical example.
Also,I didn't bother to include Archimedean upthrust!
