Possible Solve Bug

Can someone verify this. I had a perfectly working sheet last month. I went in to do some text edits. When I re-saved, I got the error in the solve block (one equation one unknown. Running M14 M035.

Again, as written, this was working 15 minutes ago!

Seems to me that the naming of the function to be the same as the changing parameter is problematic.

That's not possible.

You have "vel" defined as a function (of "flow"), but you are using it in the solve block as a variable.

And, apart from the problem of vel being both a function and a variable, if you are trying to solve for dia then you have two unknowns: dia and flow (and if velocity is defined as a function of flow, then velocity is not defined either).

Then why was it working 15 minutes ago? HMMM. I'll post the whole file. This was a problem that Stuarts assisted me with a few months ago.

If you disable the vel(flow):= definition, the solve block produces an answer.

That did it! I was going through my print out and I had disabled vel(flow). For some reason, it re-enabled on its own. This was my first program with functions. Still shaky with the concepts
