Hi everyone
I am experiencing for the first time with WAV-Files reading and postprocessing in MathCAD (15.0). I am using as base for myy first tests the Quicksheet: "WAV Files, Spectrograms, and Signal Generation", only the file reading and spectrum plotting part of it.
I just want to ask if I am right in the assuption, that only 8 and 16 bit resolutions are supported. Because when I try to read a 32 bit WAV file, perfectly playable and correctly interpreted by GETWAVINFO, I get an errror message "this file contains bad information".
A collateral question would be: is there a simple way to compute the signal to noise ratio of a given audio-recording? Or some other indication of the quality of the recording? Unfortunately I am no expert of audio-processing, but I do need to get some kind of spectral analysis on the WAV file.
Thanks a lot in advance
Regards,
Claudio
