Save function not working properly ?

I use the save function a lot.  However I find that on many files I get a pop up showing a description of the file being saved each time it is saved.  So if I set save to 5 minutes I get this pop up every 5 minutes.  If the pop up occurs at the instant I am working on a file that file may be damaged.  I reported this several times it was ignored.  Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there a fix for it?
