Luc is using Mathcad 11 with Maple as symbolics engine.

His sheet does not work for Mathcad 15 with muPad

Here is a workaround.

After all we don't need the exact derivative of the floor-expression (step function) which is all zero but with Dirac spikes at the odd multiples of pi. So substituting it with a constant does the job in MC15

Adding -2*pi to the one old root ( the old 'red' point ) to get another new root ( another new 'red' point (backward to the left) )  is correct or not ? ( yes or no for periodic property ?)
