why not call it mathcad 16?
It is said that the "prime" version losts lots lots of useful features of the earlier version:
no symbolic, no 3D plot, weak PDE solving, and so on.
is it true?
I think, because Mathcad Prime is the new product, the new concept. Which ahead waits development (and in functional capabilities too).
Prime is PTC's first major revamp of Mathcad and it's called Mathcad Prime simply because that's the name PTC chose. I imagine it seperate's all other versions of Mathcad by name and it's quite clear which release of Mathcad PTC put their stamp on it.
Prime is missing key features which previous versions do not have, but are expected in the near future.
