hello im solving the equation at the end .But i dont want that unknown variable to be marked in red colour how to solve this problem.

here T_2_10k is taking the value of 1ft*lbf...how could mike solve with out getting this error
Can't debug a picture.
Also I already had written twice in this thread what to do to make the symbolics happy (=make the solved for variable unknown to the symbolics).

Yes, I experience the same problem. Curiosly enough it works if you define T_2_10k to 1 Joule instead.
But I wouldn't recommend that mixed symbolic/numeric approach anyway.

So one last time: Immedeatly after defining T_2_10k you follow the definiton with T_2_10k:=T_2_10k.
This should work.
