would imply that PTC won't support moving of older Mathcad version to a different machine.
EDIT: The above mentioned thread continues and at the time it looks that the OP may have luck in using the license management tool to move the license for old Mathcad to a new machine. See yourself and stay tuned ...
I am not sure if they really refuse to generate new license file for people who bought a 'perpetual' license.
To be on the safe side you may contact official PTC support and ask.
If its true I fear you will have resort either to cherish and care for the old laptop and/or resort to a method utilizing a virtual NIC similar to what is described here https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/An-alternative-to-MATHCAD-15/m-p/983074/highlight/true#M214972
