Hello, I am trying to install a trial version of CREO Parametric (build 7.08), found from this link onto a Windows 11 machine (build 22621), and have not been able to get it to work. I am able to install 10.0 without issue.
When I try to run setup.exe for either of these, i get a loading wheel, and then nothing happens. I want to use this for Zemax Opticsbuilder, but only have versions which support up to CREO version 7.
The installer works right away on another machine running windows 10, but not on the windows 11 machine that I need it on.
I have tried the following so far:
Disabling Firewall/antivirus
Running as administrator
Running in Compatibility mode
Updating graphics drivers (RTX 4000)
Copying the unzipped Med* directory to C:/TEMP/...
It seems like it ought to be supported from this document:
What steps should I take in order to get this to work?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Modify 2 following lines.
ENV=PTC_D_LICENSE_FILE-=
ENV=CREOPMA_FEATURE_NAME=
Hi,
That allows me to start it up at least!
I then get an "Invalid feature name: [FEATURE_NAME]" error, followed by:
The following services failed to initialize:
Learning Connector
CREO system Monitor
Exit Logger
CREO embedded browser
I then get "AFX failed to load" and "IFX failed to load", and the program exits.
What is the solution to this?
