The camera footprint calculator sheet uses a required time for detection of 0.5 seconds and required time for identification of 5 seconds. We were told to ignore the pixel requirements for each in this sheet; are we also ignoring these time requirements? They appear to be from last year.
This is another tool that might prove useful, but if you choose to ignore it you should provide justification for why your system is able to support other requirements. Realistically, the detection time will be shorter than a confirmed identification time (as in the example included in the spreadsheet). Those times will depend on your selected system. This should get your team thinking about it as a requirement not as a throw away item.
