I'm a FRC mentor who recently got a new computer, and want to install Creo on it. I tried using the product code from the first time that I got it (as told to do over in the FIRST forums - they told me via PM that the product code is the same for all students), and when I put the product code in to to the installer, it asks me to login to ptc.com, and then simply tells me "Error!". If I hover over it, it says to please contact PTC license support.
What do I need to do to get Creo on this machine? FWIW, I downloaded it again from https://www.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academic.jsp and still no dice.

This doesn't help - I can enter the product code, but once I enter it I then get the "Please contact PTC License Support" error message after it tries to verify it. I'll PM you the product code I'm trying to use.
Jon,
My appologies, I should have clarified a little bit. The above guide walks you through the process of "Manually" generating a license file and then using it during the installation. This should allow you to bypass the error during the license generation part of the install.
The guide is sort of a fix-all for license issues that occur during the licensing part of the install. Sorry for the confusion! If this guide still does not work, just PM me again and we will work this out in a remote session.
Thanks!
No worries, at least with this approach it gave a coherent error message . I've PM'ed you the details.
What is the Product Code? And where I can get it?
Hi Vanessa,
That depends on which version of the software you are looking for. For more information on this, I would recommend visiting this thread: http://communities.ptc.com/thread/44582?tstart=0
Thanks!
Good Afternoon !
This is my problem, dos not let me to draw any more
Hi,
It looks like you are opening the part in Creo Simulate with a student license. SInce the student license does not include a license for Creo Simualte, then it is returning an error. Try opening Creo Parametric and then opening the file.
