Using 3D Print option instead of normal STL Export

What's the benefits of using the 3D print option (per the latest newsletter) as opposed to exporting a copy of the part as an STL file?   We've been doing the latter for a long time without any issues, but would love to know if there is something we're missing.

Definitely watch the video included with the newsletter. It explains all the features. The most important one is the position on the printer. Sometimes the STEP files we down load have their origins in the most unexpected places. The validation is nice too. You never know he kids may have modeled their shape.
