3GB Switch on Win7 32
Can the 3gb be set on Win7 32bit? If so is the command setting it the
same as XP? I suspect that its not.
Thanks,
Mark Steffke

To enable the 3GB switch on Windows Vista? or Windows 7:
1.Right-click Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the Start
menu. Click Run as Administrator.
2.At the command prompt, enter "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072"
3.Restart the computer.
To disable the 3GB switch:
1.Right-click on Command Prompt in the Accessories program group of the
Start menu. Click Run as Administrator.
2.At the command prompt, enter "bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa"
3.Restart the computer.

I once read that this setting is no longer required in Windows 7, as it is already the default.
However, I have not confirmed this.

Thanks so far, have another tiny question:
in xp we would set /3gb, then we had to add userva=2800 for the video
card, or else the machine would not reboot.
Would the equivalent be "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 2800" ??
