Just out of curiosity, what do "ya'll" think of the last line of that
boot.ini file looking like this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows Server
2003" /fastdetect /3GB
This is on a HP xw8600 running XP sp3, Xeon X5260 @3.33GHz and 4gig of
ram.
ALSO, my "other" system is an HP xw8400 running XP sp2, Xeon 5160
@2.99GHz and 3gig of ram with it's last line of the boot.ini file looks
like this:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows Server
2003" /fastdetect /3GB /PAE /userva=2900
What is the difference? Should the first system also have the
userva=2900 set? What does the "/PAE" do in the later case?
Thanks in advance...
