Background color not changing
I have 1 user who is only getting a black background in Creo 11.0.3.0. We just upgraded last Friday from Creo 9. His colors were fine in Creo 9. We have removed his local config.pro and creo_parametic_customization.ui files and restarted Creo 11 and still just a black background. Even trying different Creo color themes (Dark or Light) do not change his display.
The Creo 11 install is on a network drive and everyone uses the same start up files.
Anyone have any suggestions on what else may be causing this issue. There are at least 4 others on Creo 11 without any issues.

Have you tried eliminating the graphics card to see if that is the issue?
graphics WIN32_GDI
Have you checked file-> help -> system information to see if there are any other config.pros being loaded in?

Did not try the graphics win32_gdi as this machine ran Creo 9 just fine until the upgrade to Creo 11.
We did look to see that there were no additional config.pro files loaded beyond the system level one.

Different software versions support different graphics cards. Here is the hardware list for a Dell machine for example:

Went back this morning and used the config.pro setting for graphics win32_GDI and that worked. IT is downloading the lates Nvidia drivers to try them. The weird thing is we have 5 identical machines and 4 of them are running Creo 11 just fine. Only this one is giving us issues. I even checked mine versus the problem machine and we have the same graphics driver version.
I suppose that could mean it is a hardware issue with his card rather than a driver issue. We will see when they get new drivers installed.

Is it a completely black screen or just the background? I.e. can the person still draw stuff but just with the undesired black background? I seem to remember someone having troubles like a black screen when their graphics card drivers were not "compatible" with Creo. You know, the "don't use the latest drivers, unless you're sure" situation.
Just a guess.

Creo graphics area is black and no options allow us to change it.
When he tries to load an existing part, he doesn't see anything as everything is now black.

Hi @BenLoosli
I had this same problem on my machine after installing Creo 11.0 for the first time.
There were a few default config.pro option changes between Creo 10.0 and 11.0 - CS402384
This black screen is associated with the change to option enable_fsaa off to a new default value 8. Try each value of the option with the machine to see what clears the black screen. You might need to open a part or create a new object in order to update the graphics window between value changes.
In addition to the config.pro, this option is available in File > Options > Entity Display > Anti-Aliasing

I will have him try the enable_fsaa off setting.
It just seems weird that it is only one machine that is giving problems.

The enable_fsaa setting did not work.
The win32_gdi setting made his screen jump around.
Put him back on Creo 9 and everything is fine again...until he needs a file saved by someone else on Creo 11. Cross that bridge when we get to it.
