when I open the program I just see a black screen

Hello,

I have installed Creo Parametric 11.0 on my laptop (RTX4060 and  intel i5). now when I open the program I just see a black screen. I have already done an update of my graphic card driver, but that did not help. If anyone knows how to resolve this issue, I would be glad if you could let me know.

Hi,

please click File > Help > System Information > System Information.

Then scroll window contents until you see Creo Parametric Graphics Type:

It must be set to win32_gdi

In my case it is set to OPENGL (because my graphic card is accepted by Creo)

the procedure is described in https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Black-screen-in-Creo-Parametric-Educational-Edition/td-p/956159 discussion.

Do following test:

• open config.pro in Notepad
• add following option at the end of the file and save the file

graphics   win32_gdi

• start Creo

when i open the config.pro file and add the "graphics   win32_gdi" i click save but a message appear saying that i cant modify the files and i have to notify a moderator. im using my personal computer i dont understand why i cant modify my own files...

@AS_12985683 Likely the folder you are trying to modify the config.pro file is set to read only. If it is a personal computer, you can probably change that folder setting
