Creo 2 slow loading

Creo 2 slow loading

Not sure what the heck happened a few weeks back (around 8/10) but I came in one day and Creo seemed to take forever to load. Since then it takes at least 2 minutes for Creo to load. (the program, not a model) It used to come up in about 10 seconds.

There were no programs added to my computer that I know of other than a windows update. I've uninstalled Creo and reinstalled with no change.

Anyone have any clues?

I have:
Lenovo E31 Workstation
Intel Core i&-3770 @3.4oGHz
Nvidia Quadro K2000 (with most up to date certified drivers)
24GB ram

Tony,

Id bet there could be many reasons, but here is one that I have
experienced...
Has your Ethernet situation, or license server changed in any way?
When I launch Pro/E from my local network (server directly on my local
network) it launches almost instantly. When I launch using an "off-site"
license server and everything is normal, Pro/e launches a little slower
but still pretty respectable. However, If I launch using an "off-site
license server and something is not quite right with my connection, Pro/E
will hang for a really long time until it receives back the license ping
and then will finally come up...

Good Luck
Bernie

Concur with what Bernie said. A disturbance in the license force will cause much consternation.

If you’re connected to PDMLink, having many items in your workspace will heavily impact startup times (but traditionally, even with 10K objects, would only add 30 seconds-ish, not 2 minutes).

SOLVED

I couldn't find this answer anywhere so I kept trying and trying.

I literally scoured the web and FINALLY discovered a book with codes in it.

I went through the thousands of code and tried the ones I thought would work.

Simply add these lines to your config file and you will be able to load gigantic assemblies in just a few minutes.

It would take me over an hour before and now they open in under a minute.

Its literally unbelievable.
