Dependencies, References, Reference Viewer, and Check-in

Hello,

In CREO 5, I have opened the 'reference viewer' for an assembly.  All the components reporting to the assembly are listed as 'parents' and no components are listed as 'children'.  Is this backwards?  Is the software backwards on this?  Thank you.

It is correct.  The components (parents) create the assembly (child).  In other words, the assembly is dependant on the parts and the parts can stand alone without the assembly.  Here is a screen shot from 4.0.

There is always more to learn in Creo.
