When using Creo 4.0, if I am working on a drawing and want to open the part file for that drawing that resides in the same directory, I thought Creo would look in the same directory as the drawing file that I have open. Now it seems like I automatically go back to the working directory. Is my memory defective or is there something I changed in the Config file that is causing this?
Creo always looks in the current working directory.
If you want to open the model associated with the current drawing, you just select the model in tree, right mouse click, and select the "Open" option (looks like an open file folder). This opens the model that is currently in session, associated with the open drawing.
The model will already be 'In Session' when you have a drawing open. Use the Model tree like Ken said to open the model that is connected to the open drawing.
I wanted to thank everybody that responded to my question! I very much appreciate the advice.
