Flex Net license server- does it run on Windows 2000 server edition?

However, the latest version of FlexNet that comes with Creo may not be certified to run on a Windows 2000 OS. The license management code that comes with Creo1 does run on Windows 2003 Server.

We had problems when we moved from Wildfire 3.0 to Wildfire 5.0 with a Windows 2000 server for licensing. Our issue was the license would get tied up and the user could not release them ( we had to flush them ). When we upgraded the license server to Windows 2003 and new Flexnet the issue went away. I'm not exactly sure what version we were upgrading at the time but I know the OS was Windows 2000 server.

That should not be an issue, as Windows 2000 is not supported by
Microsoft either!
(I.e. security is at risk!)
