My Java is blocked-Cant run API wizard

Our corporate security, like many others, constantly forces system
updates for security purposes. Starting Monday my java was blocked
while attempting to use the API wizard. Since then I have upgraded Java
to lastest, and have set my security setting to lowest thru java control
panel. Still no luck.
I am dead in the water here. Is there some secret to getting the Java
to run thru all the security?

Figured it out. I changed the setting in java contol panel, but I
needed to shut down all sessions of IE. I had a few sleeper sessions I
didn't notice. As for Java cpl, I had to adjust it down to medium
which is the lowest. Problem solved.

Still I'm curious if everyone else is having to adjust this to low.
Secondly this is not recommended, and it leaves your machine vulnerable.
Myself, I will lower it, and when not using the API wizard, raise it.

I know this is just a newspaper article, but it scares me that we have
to "take down our shields" to run the wizard.

You will need to configure JAVA securities to solve this issue. I have put together a guide which can be found in my blog articlehttp://portal.ptcuser.org/p/bl/ar/blogaid=54
