Pro/E borrowed license with disabled ethernet ports

Hello Pro/E users,
We have laptops on which all ethernet ports are disabled( when used outside our network) due to security reasons.
The wireless card is the only port which is enabled in offline mode.
Is it possible to use this wireless port to borrow a Pro/E license?
Or, are there ways to run Pro/E without using the ethernet card MAC-address?
Thanks,
Han

Hi Han,

I realize that borrowed license requiring a network card to be powered-on defeats the purpose of borrowing. We are actively working with our partner to address the issue.

In meanwhile, here are two TPIs that may help:

To answer your first question: Is it possible to borrow using the wireless network card? Yes. Here's my understanding. Before the client laptop machine initiates the borrowing request, please disable/disconnect the LAN and enable wireless network connection to the license server. This way, when borrowing completes, it would have referenced the wireless network card.

Please email me at - if the problem still persists.
