RAM requiriments

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM080

Using Creo Parametric for CAD modeling.
We are doing units with up to 28 modules, what would be the hardware requirements in terms of RAM?

You will need to work on your large assembly management. Simplified reps will be needed. You may be able to handle your assemblies with what you currently have if you can simplify them enough.

There is a pdf in this post https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Large-Assembly-Training/m-p/728764

I have 32 gig of ram and on occasion have ram issues but I would say that it is generally some sort of glitch in the program and/or computer and is usually resolved by a restart (Creo or re-boot).

Todays project is an assembly drawing of 1,000,000 lb  (455 mt) subsea safety device.

Hi,

open assembly and track how much memory takes xtop.exe process (in Task Manager window on Details tab).

Hi,

Having only one open box model, it is with almost 90% of the RAM consumed and the PC freezes continuously for sometimes seconds, sometimes even several minutes, making it very difficult to work.

Currently I have 16 GB of RAM

Hi,

exit Creo session, start new Creo session, open assembly and publish following "pictures".

The problem is that this happens to me when I open AD (assembly drawings), which are assembly drawings of the whole box, then I can not simplify, and every time I open the model is 20 minutes and since you move the mouse until it moves 15 seconds pass ....

Thanks!
