Symantec vs. McAfee
Our I.S. department is switching from McAfee to Symantec for anti-virus protection. What we are finding though is that Symantec is having a much greater impact on Pro/E performance than McAfee ever did. Has anyone else ever experienced this or have any suggestions?
We are running Creo Element/Pro 5.0 M080. We also utilize a single network install approach, where we install the software on a network drive and then users run Pro/E from there. We been doing this for over 10 years.
Thanks, John

We had issue across our network with symantic and moved to Kaspersky,
caused a few headaches at first but our it department then sorted it out
and it doesn't interfere with ProE
All should be able to have exclusions put in so we exclude the PTC
Install, user cache area (Windchill) and some server side stuff to.
You can also set it up to have trusted web sites which we do with
WIndchill
Best Regards
