I have been trying to find an answer to this question but nothing I have tried so far works. I have an issue where I can not pull the Windchill browser window to the front above all of the other Creo windows. I'm currently using Creo 7.0.8 and this is happening to all users who are currently running Windows 11 (but now Windows 10). There doesn't seem to be any way at all to move it to the front so we have to resort to moving all Creo windows to one monitor and the Windchill browser to another monitor.
I suspect that this has something to do with the Windows 11 window manager but even the settings that appear to fix other applications do not fix this issue in Creo. Anyone have an idea what I can try?
@TractorGuy We have turned off all other windows on launch and only show one tab which is Windchill. If the users want to open/add another tab they can do so on their own by selecting the + icon.
afx_enabled no
enable_3dmodelspace_browser_tab no
enable_partcommunity_tab no
enable_resource_browser_tab no
enable_punditas_browser_tab no
We have also set the Creo internal browser to Chrome through our config as recommended from PTC.
windows_browser_type chromium_browser
I have tried all of those options but it still won't bring the Windchill browser window to the front of the other windows.
What other windows do you have open? Please add an image. We are running Windows 11 and Creo 7080.
I have the model window and the browser window open. It doesn't matter how you open it, the browser window goes to the back and can not be brought back to the front.
"We have also set the Creo internal browser to Chrome through our config as recommended from PTC."
windows_browser_type chromium_browser
This can be deleted from your config.pro in Creo 9 and higher. It is now the standard/default set by PTC. It will be flagged as an invaild option.
