We have an old config file where blended_transparency is set to No. The current Creo default is "Independent". I have no justification for why it was originally set to No, but I'm sure there was a good reason at one time.
From what I can tell, blended_transparency affects the preselection highlighting. When you hover over with blended_transparency set to No, you get a crosshatch sort of highlighting. With blended_transparency set to Yes, you get a nicer looking shaded highlighting. I'm not sure how independent and yes are different.
Does anyone know the difference between the Yes and the Independent setting? Also, how do the options compare for performance? Does having blended_transparency set to No improve preselection highlighting in large assemblies?
