The best way to have concurrent engineering on an assembly is with a Product Data Management system, like Windchill PDMLink for example.

Here is the PTC website on it: http://www.ptc.com/product/windchill/pdmlink

Here is the PTC Community: http://communities.ptc.com/community/windchill

There are also some others 3D party PDM systems that state they can work with any CAD tool, like Pro.File.

And creo/elements pro 5.0

Let me know how to work on it?
