why the .prt version chang ,??

why the .prt version chang ,??

one .prt has open in the cero 2.0, when i click the save button, the back file name would be chang to 2 from 1, ........but l have do notthing or no add new featrue in the .prt .

why the .prt version chang ,?? which config option can control ?

It does with the config option left on the default of changed_and_specified, as by saying Save you are 'specifying it'

If you have it set as changed_and_updated, then if you have not changed it, on save you get the message

"xxx has not been saved because it hasn't changed."

This is on WF4 not connected to a data management system

This is simply how Creo works, every save generates a new file with an incremental change in the version number. You may not have changed the file, but you did tell Creo to save, so it saved it in the same way it always does.
