A Dedicated eSupport Portal for the ThingWorx Developers
Over the past week, a lot of exciting news have been shared in the ThingWorx world, 2 of them being new extremely useful resources for ThingWorx Developers
- a new developer zone with a new dashboard and onboarding guides
- a new Learning Connector with case studies, tutorials and eLearning resources
Today, we’d like to announce the availability of a 3rd web site, dedicated to ThingWorx Developers: the ThingWorx Developer eSupport Portal
Based on a simplified navigation experience, the Developer eSupport Portal provides an easy access to all the places and resources a junior or experienced ThingWorx Developer can need. In addition to an easy access to the sites you might already be using (Developer Zone, Marketplace, Learning Connector, Community…), the site offers:
- A federated search bar allowing you to Search ThingWorx Content across a variety of content : Tech Support Knowledge Base, Community (blogs, discussions…), Educational Videos, Documentation (help center and reference guides)
- A list of the most useful and popular documents under the recommended readings section (this list is updated on a regular basis by Technical Support engineers)
- “Your path to success”: A checklist of recommended activities to develop your skills on the ThingWorx Platform
- Depending on your Support offering, the ability to open a case with a Technical Support engineer.
This is the first iteration of the developer eSupport portal and we are planning to improve it on a regular basis. Feel free to share your feedback in the comments below or use the feedback form on the portal itself.

This is great stuff - has already replaced 3 or 4 bookmarks of mine by aggregating all the links into one spot.

Very nice and very helpful. FYI, the 'Learning Connector' link doesn't seem to be working.

Hi Pierre,
Is this portal to available to only customers and partners, or is it available for ThingWorx developers who registered for the 30 days trial or the 120 self hosted instance?
Thanks!

Hi Vladimir,
Access is available to anybody (Customers, Partners and trial users) with a basic account (same login/password used to access the developer portal). Most of the content (access to the documentation, the knowledge base...) is available to all but some of the features (such as opening a case with tech support) are only available to some of the higher level of support offering.
As a side note, we are working on an improved version of the portal, to be available by the end of this month. If anybody is interested in participating in some user testing, feel free to PM me.

Nagarjuna, if you have access to PTC Support , you can download the ThingWorx package for PostgreSQL. Else you can get free 30 days access to hosted instance with ThingWorx Foundation

Hi Sushant,
Just to have it noted here, Nagarjuna can also use the 120 days self hosted ThingWorx instance.
The download is available at https://developer.thingworx.com/dashboard
