I need thingworx cwc extended extensions for features like QA report, Audit Report, Attachements/ logsheet upload in work instruction verification step.
Hi, Thank you for the link.
I have imported extension successfully, but how I can set Thing:PTC.FSU.CWC.EXT.Installer.AutomatedInstallHelper_TG
this thing in order to proceed further. If you have any documents on it's configuration steps then would be helpful. Thanks
Hi CV
For any question/issue on the Extendeds, you have to ask directly in the Github platform. You can do it by using this link again, go in the Issues tab, and click on the New Issue button at the top-right. Note that it requires making a Github account.
Hello - Thank you for the comment. I uploaded the following response to the GitHub as well.
I see that we need to adjust the summary documentation. We are also in the process of getting a system manual completed. We will upload that when available. Here are some details on the step you are referring to:
I follow all the steps mentioned in the CWC extended pdf as well the above step mentioned by you. But I am still not getting the extended features in my CWC. What else I can check further?
also when I am trying to install feature manually then I am getting attached error:
Hello - it appears that maybe your database connection is not configured correctly? Please open your PTC.FSU.CWC.EXT.MSSQL_TG thing and go to the Configuration section. Validate that your database is configured correctly. If your standard CWC is connected and working correctly, it is likely the same configuration that is in the PTCFSU.CoreSQLThing thing.
If your database is connected, the isConnected property should be true (checkbox is checked). After making configuration changes, save the thing and then run the RestartThing service and check the isConnected property.
Once your database is properly connected, you should be able to manually uninstall / reinstall features as needed.
Hi jristey
I checked the DB connection, and it is connected, I am attaching the screenshot for the reference.
Please suggest me what else I can do in order to get this issue resolved?
In Features mashup, I can see many features as installed but not able to see those on CWC dashboard.
If there is any additional step which I need to follow do let me know. Attaching screenshot for the reference.
Thank you!
Hello CV0893,
Based on your questions, some additional documentation has been loaded to the GitHub repository last week. There are now 2 documents in the repository that could be helpful:
- CWC Extended Deployment Guide
- CWC Extended User Guide
These documents are in this GitHub repository: https://github.com/PTCInc/solution-cwc-extended/releases/tag/1.0.19
Hi, Thank you for the response. I checked those documents, there one VideoPlayerWidget - v9.1.1.zip is mentioned which I cannot see in git repository. May I know from where I can get this extension?
And also my MSSQL thing is getting disconnected and then not getting connected with the same credentials also., so could you please confirm the versions which we have to use for both thingworx as well as CWC.
Currently I am using TWX 9.5.1, CWC 9.5.1 and SSMS 2019.
With the same credentials my CORESQL thing is connected and working fine but CWC EXT MSSQL thing is not getting connected. Thank you
Hi CV
You can get issues like this if the SQL user is locked. I suggest checking this in SQL Studio :
Hi,
login is lockout is unchecked for me, so I believe it is not locked. So, is there any other thing which I can check?
It looks like your message was edited, that the first time it said you had the lock issue and now it says you don't. So I have to ask : did you have the lock issue, fixed it, but now the SQL connection still won't work?
If that's the case, we might need to force the SQL Thing to really try to reconnect. If you go on it in Composer, you could try executing the RestartThing service. Or you could try erasing the password and re-writing it, however doing this too much could risk locking you out again.
