I still face reordering columns after configured in grid. So I provided ordinal values while defining field definitions. I hope this will fix.

What do you mean "columns are automatically changing its order in UI"? What is the expected order in UI? Can you provide more detailed information or a demo sample entities?

@AP_10343008 column order can be changed.
If you open the Configure Widget popup as below, you can drag a column and change its displaying order.
Can you check column order is changed or not?

Just a shot in the dark -- did you try to clear your cookies or just open your mashup in Private mode? Grids allow some end-user personalization by persisting their column state in the browser. Maybe what you are seeing is some undesired side effect of that...
