New to Thingsworx

Hi,

i am new to this thingsworx platform. I am currently using node-red and would like to visualise data on thingsworx using mqtt. How do i get started?? What applications do i need to download?

You should start with downloading the MQTT extension https://marketplace.ptc.com/listing?q=mqtt#!/list/page/1/search=mqtt 

 

And then use the extension following this article.

i am currently follow instruction from https://community.ptc.com/t5/ThingWorx-Developers/MQTT-support-in-ThingWorx/td-p/509655 but it seems to be difficult to follow due the new gui. Can anyone give more updated instruction as i am not very tech savy.

I have seen this before. Let me give it a try again.

Is there a guide to using MQTT instead of using MQTTConnection and MQTTSubscriber? I've heard that MQTT is able to do the job of both.

The jobs are done in different Things, they are independent so people don't get confused.

ok I think i got the hang of how to configure it. Thxs for the help! On a side note, Do you know how to disable mosquitto on startup on windows? 

That's totally a third party product story, I don't have much information, you can turn to Google for help.
