ThingWorx 8.3 could not be started

Hi Team,

I got Tomcat 8.5 and 64-bit JRE installed and configured.

However, I cannot load Thingworx.war successfully, with the error below.

FAIL - Application at context path [/Thingworx] could not be started

Could you help me with that?

Is that related to my Administrator access or sth else?

thanks,

Jason

Hi @jye-2 you'll need JDK and ensure that tomcat is correctly using the Java location, you can check the full system requirement : https://www.ptc.com/support/-/media/7F2E9748BAAD4E038596885EC1F546A3.pdf?sc_lang=en

You'll need to use a user which can make required changes on the OS level as mentioned in the installation guide, which is not much on the Win, however may need some additional steps on Linux platform (both covered in the installation guide) . In case the issue persist I would recommend opening a support case with PTC Support Services.
